Baby Boomers, it’s no secret—you’re holding a big piece of the real estate pie! In fact, Americans aged 60 to 78 now own 38% of all U.S. real estate and a whopping 72.7% of its total value. That’s the highest share we’ve seen since 1958. So here’s the million-dollar question (literally, for some): Is it time to sell, or should you stay put?

Here in Dutchess County, we’re seeing a mix. Some of my longtime clients are ready to downsize and simplify. Others want to stay rooted in the homes they’ve loved for decades. And both choices are valid—it all depends on your lifestyle, goals, and future plans.
